July-December 2021 Mini Catalog is active!
The launch of a new mini catalog is always a great time for Stampin' Up! customers! While we hate to say goodbye to retired products, we always look forward to seeing all the many NEW products available for purchase. The second mini catalog of the year, also known as "the holiday catalog," has wonderful stamps, dies, and papers for fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more. The 80-page mini catalog is packed with bundled savings, witches and ghouls, pumpkins, wise men, pets and wildlife, gingerbread, peppermint, pine cones, snowflakes, peaceful scenes, and the Big Guy himself!

Sale-a-bration! - August 3 through September 30, 2021
The second Sale-a-bration of the year is happening now! You may recall that starting this year Stampin' Up! is offering Sale-a-bration a second time. Each Sale-a-bration period runs for two months.
How does it work? Choose a FREE Sale-a-bration product with every $50 or $100 you spend (before tax and shipping). Choose from regular and specialty designer series papers, stamp sets, and even die sets!
One exciting item of note is the Summer Shadows Dies (bottom left) that match the Shaded Summer stamp set in the 2021-2022 annual catalog (top left). The stamp set is only $23, so buying a stamp set and getting the dies for FREE is absolutely astounding!

The Kits Collection
Don't forget to check out the new line of creative products called the Kits Collection by Stampin' Up! These kits launched on June 1, and they take the guess work out of creativity. They are perfect for beginning paper crafters who want to try their hand at card making without investing in craft supplies up-front. Fussy Cut
Use a pair of Snips or fine-point scissors to cut manually around a stamped image. This is often done when there is no die-cut available for your image, or you simply want to eliminate some part of an image. The hummingbird at right was fussy-cut before being mounted on its card.
Dancing Baseline
Every line of text has a baseline. It is a real or imaginary line upon which the text is grounded. The bottom of each letter generally sits on a baseline, except when letters have descenders that fall below the main body of the letter (x-height); i.e. g, j, p, q, and y.
Dancing baselines are often seen in modern calligraphy, where letters are drawn for artistic interest. (See the "Sorry for your loss" sentiment at right.) Not only are dancing baselines visually interesting, but they are a wonderful friend to people who have trouble getting a stamp straight on a card or other project. The dancing baseline makes perfect stamping rather irrelevant! If you have this issue, consider buying stamps with this feature, and no one will ever be the wiser that you are "straight-challenged."
Paper Pumpkin - Hope Box
Paper Pumpkin is a great entry point to paper crafting and card making! The August 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit was inspired by Stampin' Up! co-founder Shelli Gardner! Its purpose is to share hope and encouragement in a fun and easy way.
The Hope Box (see at right) is designed to be a keepsake box for mementos of cherished memories or reminders of what's to come. It can be used to store treats or trinkets that represent what hope means to you - and then look inside for inspiration or to get a needed lift.
This month's kit contains enough supplies to create nine cards and coordinating envelopes. It comes with a Classic Stampin' Spot (mini ink pad), plus an exclusive stamp set. Coordinating colors include Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss, Bumblebee, Melon Mambo, Petal Pink, Pool Party, and Poppy Parade.
