Eden's Garden - Early Release Collection Available Starting November 2!
The story of the Garden of Eden transcends the boundaries of a single belief system. Numerous accounts and adaptations of Eden's events have appeared in Christianity, Judaism, Islam, legends and lore, ancient mythology, and more! No matter how the story is shared, the essence of Eden remains the same: it's a place of paradise. Filled with fruitful and flourishing foliage, stillness and serenity, and an air of mystery, Eden is an ethereal utopia!
Enter and explore Eden with the Eden's Garden Collection! This delightful and desirable collection includes early-release products from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog - a bundle of stamps and dies that's blooming with beauty and bounty. Plus, exclusive products you can't uncover anywhere else - a pack of paper patterned with green and gold, a set of specialty sheets for gift-giving and textured touches, and a sparkling set of gleaming gems!
Just as the timeless story can be told in a variety of versions, these beautiful products can be used to create projects for any occasion - and they make the perfect papercrafting companion. Eden's Garden is offered as a collection only through January 3 and only while supplies last! After that, various elements can be ordered separately.
Use my demonstrator shopping link and order the collection with item number 160849 for $82 U.S. You'll get the Eden's Garden Bundle (10% off), the Ever Eden 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, Ever Eden 12" x 12" Cotton Paper, and Garden Gems.
Use a pair of Snips or fine-point scissors to cut manually around a stamped image. This is often done when there is no die-cut available for your image, or you simply want to eliminate some part of an image. The hummingbird at right was fussy-cut before being mounted on its card.
Every line of text has a baseline. It is a real or imaginary line upon which the text is grounded. The bottom of each letter generally sits on a baseline, except when letters have descenders that fall below the main body of the letter (x-height); i.e. g, j, p, q, and y.
Dancing baselines are often seen in modern calligraphy, where letters are drawn for artistic interest. (See the "Sorry for your loss" sentiment at right.) Not only are dancing baselines visually interesting, but they are a wonderful friend to people who have trouble getting a stamp straight on a card or other project. The dancing baseline makes perfect stamping rather irrelevant! If you have this issue, consider buying stamps with this feature, and no one will ever be the wiser that you are "straight-challenged."

Follow Me on Pinterest: Over 75 Alphabetized Sections Featuring Stampin' Up! Products!
Are you often in need of inspiration? If so, check out my personal boards on Pinterest! I am always looking for fresh designs and ideas for my paper crafting projects, so I pin ideas frequently.
Because I am a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! I have a Stampin' Up! Pinterest board with more than 75 sections. Each section is dedicated to a stamp set, bundle, designer series paper, technique, or style. I name them by product name and keep them alphabetized for easy browsing. Currently, I have nearly 4000 pins, most of which feature Stampin' Up! products.
My pinning philosophy is simple: If I love a design, I pin it. It may be the stamp set that interests me, or it may be the color scheme, or it may be the layout. Whatever the case, I can draw inspiration from each pin and then make it my own by altering some aspect of the design. Some of my pins are originals; i.e. projects that I designed myself. Others are ones I pinned from other paper crafters.
My boards (and sections) will remain in place indefinitely. Some products are retired, but that doesn't mean we don't use them any more. In fact, I suspect that it is harder to find samples using retired products. I want us all to have inspiration for a long time to come!
I hope you'll visit my site and click the "follow" button to stay up-to-date with what I'm pinning. If you have a special request, feel free to email me at email@example.com. I'll see what I can do!
NEW on My YouTube Channel This Month
I have two new YouTube videos this month:
Coordinating Designer Series Paper with Cardstock for Beginners (18:10) shows you how I make color choices for my cards and other paper projects. This video may be useful to paper crafters at all levels, but I have recorded it specifically for beginners.
How to Make a Custom Organizer from a Spiral-Bound Notebook (29:21) is suitable for paper crafters at all levels! This video gives you tips on how to turn an ordinary notebook into a beautiful, handmade organizer that will help you get organized quickly. I first learned how to cover spiral binding a decade ago from my best friend, Lisa, and I always reap the rewards when I take the time to make one of these for myself!
If you like what you see, please consider subscribing to my channel. And, if you click the little notification bell beside the Subscribe button, you'll be notified every time I upload new content! I hope you'll join me!
In Case You Missed It!
Last month, I uploaded a new video on how to make slimline cards (30:15) using Stampin' Up! products. Check it out if you haven't already, and remember that I have a written 6-card tutorial in my Etsy shop for $10, or you can get it FREE with a $50 product order with me as your designated Stampin' Up! demonstrator.
